About age calculation
How is age calculated?
We subtract the birth date from the target date and break the result into years, months, and days, accounting for varying month lengths and leap years.
What's a "total months" figure?
That's the number of full months between the two dates. Combined with the years × 12 part, it gives a fine-grained view of elapsed time.
