Invoice Generator
Build a proper freelance invoice in a couple of minutes: line items, an optional discount, tax, and a due date from your payment terms. The preview below is print-ready — save it as a PDF or send your client the link.
Invoice details
Your draft is kept in this browser, so your business details are waiting for you next time. Opening someone else's link never overwrites it.

How to use this invoice generator
1. Fill in the two parties once
Your business name, address, and contact block are saved in this browser, so you type them once and they reappear on every invoice you build afterwards. Only the client block and the line items really change between jobs.
2. Number it and date it
Give the invoice a number your future self can sort — INV-0007, 2026-014, anything with a trailing digit. The "use the next number" link bumps that digit for you and keeps the padding. Set the issue date, pick your terms, and the due date is derived and printed on the invoice.
3. Add the work as line items
One row per deliverable or per rate. Quantity times rate gives the line amount: 18 × 95 for hours, or 1 × 2,400 for a fixed fee. Rows add and delete freely, and the running subtotal updates as you type.
4. Print it or send the link
Press Print / Save as PDF and choose "Save as PDF" as the destination — the editor, navigation, and footer are hidden so the invoice sits alone on the page. Or copy the share link and let the client open the same invoice in their own browser.
Invoicing FAQs
How is the due date worked out?
The due date is the issue date plus the number of days in your payment terms: 0 for due on receipt, then 15, 30, or 60 calendar days for Net 15, Net 30, and Net 60. Calendar days, not business days, is the normal reading of net terms — if you mean business days, say so explicitly in the notes.
Is the discount applied before or after tax?
Before. The discount comes off the subtotal first, and the tax rate is then applied to what is left. That is the usual order, because tax is normally owed on the price the customer actually pays rather than the list price.
How do I save the invoice as a PDF?
Press the Print / Save as PDF button. The page hides the editor, the navigation, and everything else so only the invoice preview goes to the printer, and every desktop browser offers "Save as PDF" as a destination in that dialog. On phones, the share sheet in the print dialog does the same job.
Will my business details still be here next time?
Yes. The draft is saved in your own browser's local storage, so your business name, address, email, notes, and terms come straight back when you return. Nothing is uploaded unless you create a share link — and opening someone else's share link never overwrites your saved draft.
Can I send the invoice to a client as a link?
Yes. Copy the share link and the whole invoice travels in it — both parties, every line item, the discount, tax, notes, and totals. Anyone with the link sees the same invoice and can print it themselves. Anonymous links last 30 days, or 2 years when you're signed in.
Is this a legal or tax document?
No. This tool does the arithmetic and lays the invoice out neatly, but it is not legal, accounting, or tax advice. Rules on invoice numbering, tax registration numbers, reverse charges, and required wording vary by country and by what you sell. Check what your jurisdiction expects before you send anything.
