About this converter
US vs. UK gallons
These are different. 1 US gallon = 3.785 L, but 1 UK Imperial gallon = 4.546 L (about 20% bigger). UK fluid ounces are also slightly different from US.
Cooking conversions
1 US cup = 16 tbsp = 48 tsp = 8 fl oz = ~237 mL. UK and Australian recipes sometimes use slightly different cup sizes (250 mL is common in Australia).
