About Batch Recipe Scaler

Difference from regular scaler

Recipe scaler works by servings (people count). Batch scaler works by total yield in weight or volume — useful for caterers, food businesses, or freezer cooking where you know the total amount you need to produce.

Salt and seasoning at scale

When 10×ing a recipe, scale seasonings to 8-9× initially and adjust. Larger batches concentrate flavor differently. Always taste-test a small spoonful of the scaled version before committing to the whole batch.

Equipment limits

Doubling fits a stock pot. 10×-ing usually requires multiple pots, a commercial-size mixer for dough, or batch cooking across sessions. Plan for your equipment’s capacity before scaling up.
