Do I need an account?
No. Start logging expenses straight away — they are saved in this browser. A free account is only for syncing across devices, and anything you logged while signed out moves into the account the first time you sign in.
Where is my data stored?
Signed out, only in this browser's local storage — nothing leaves your device, so clearing site data erases it. Signed in, in your private account on our database. Only you can see your expenses, you can delete an entry any time, and deleting your account removes everything.
Can I export my data?
Yes. The Export CSV button above the expense list downloads exactly the rows your category and month filters are showing. The category tables lower down have their own CSV, copy and print buttons, and the API endpoint /api/budget still returns JSON when authenticated.
