Why checklists work
Atul Gawande\u2019s "The Checklist Manifesto" showed that simple lists dramatically reduce error in surgery, aviation, and construction. They externalize what your working memory shouldn\u2019t have to hold.
Keep it short
Lists over 9 items become noisy. Group complex processes into sub-checklists (pre-flight, in-flight, landing). Recheck items at most once before checking off.
